YOU WILL NEED

Two cakes baked in 9"X 13" sheet pan
Buttercream frosting
gum paste
fondant
assorted gum paste flowers (used here were daisy, roses and stephanotis)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR GIFT BOX CONFIRMATION CAKE

Make a pink bow from gum paste or fondant the day before assembling the cake. Using a clay gun with a round dye, pipe a dark pink paste on the edge of the bow. Make a cross topper made from gum paste.

Place two 9"X13" side by side and frost with uncolored buttercream. Make a lid out of green frosting. To make a lid for the cake, follow these directions on how to make a gift box cake.

Using a pizza wheel and ruler, cut 4 strips of pink fondant about 2" in width. The lengths will vary, one will be slightly longer. Place on the cake as in picture. Again, using a clay gun, pipe a darker pink fondant on the edges of the fondant ribbon.

Place the bow on top and add the cross topper in front of it. Place the gum paste flowers in front of the cross.

Make a plaque out of fondant. Write the name of the celebrant with buttercream.
